Our Pastor

Pastor Campbell has a heart for serving people but most of all his Lord. At over 58 years of pastoring the same church, he is still going strong spreading the gospel to the Lynchburg area. He and his wife of almost 70 years, Shelby say they have the honor of being in the ministry for so many years. In so many ways they have been blessed and in so many ways they have been a blessing to others.

Pastor Campbell was the owner of a service station when he was called into the ministry in 1966. He says he can remember hearing the Lord speak to him while working underneath a car in the garage. That day he closed up his service station and found property on Parkwood Avenue to start Jordan Baptist Church. There have been many upgrades and additions to the church building since then, but the message is still the same. Jesus saves!
